The inner man is comparable to a garden. “Gethsemane” means oil press. The bridegroom rejoices in the fruit of His bride and calls her to allow the process of her fruit being pressed instead of stepping away from it. She is called to stay at His side in the suffering and to let her be impressed more by Him than the difficult circumstances surrounding her. It ́s the kind of love that goes beyond the death of one ́s ego and even beyond the physical death. A love that won ́t be shaken by anything. What suffering hinders me to stand at His side – if He knows them better than I do? He who has carried all of it and left behind Gethsemane, He is calling His bride to stand at His side. He wants a relationship of love to His bride even in this place. This chamber of the King in His heart is visited only rarely but He is longing and thirsting for this kind of beauty in His bride.
